Swedish car maker, Saab, is taking to the stand at this year’s Scandinavian Show, which will feature the very best the Nordic countries have to offer; from innovative design to great food and cutting edge entertainment to top fashion brands.
Saab will be showcasing a range of vehicles at the event, which takes place on 8th and 9th October at Earls Court in London, and celebrates everything that’s new, exciting and enticing from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland.

I was just looking at a picture of the Chinese Beiqi C70 and reading the story on it. It gives me an eerie feeling. It’s like the feeling you’d have if a very close friend or even a family member was kidnapped and taken away to a foreign land. It’s hard to look at our loved one’s altered appearance. I wonder if its Nordic soul is still in there somewhere.

I’m fine with it – there is no visual Saab DNA left, to be fair they have utterly redesigned this car and I’m happy with that – I’d find it harder if it still looked like a 9-5 with some added chrome and grilles.

Just the sort of ‘lifestyle’ event Saab should be associated with… market and people well disposed to Scandinavian design – perfect….we just need cars to sel them….

This sort of show annoys me! It’s primary purpose is to advertise and sell Scandinavian Produce.

Then they charge people to get in!! I don’t get charged to go into Marks and Spencers, John Lewis or Tesco…….. or anywhere that want’s to sell me stuff.

Ever been to an Autoshow..
I think the secret lies in the Show part of the event name
I you want to buy from me you can do that online
If you want to see and touch our products you can go to Paris this weekend and pay to see them 😉

Last time I was at Earls Court was back in the days when I was too young to drive but instead I would take the train powered by a steam engine to visit the British Car Show. I was just as enthusiastic about seeing SAAB 96s back then as the present-up.

I understand that car shows are now held in Birmingham, but at least we are making a presence, which is vital. As Admiral Nelson once said, “Great oaks from little acorns grow.” We need to replant the seeds.

I’ll actually be in London then. I wonder if they will have the 9-5 Sport Combi there and would love to see it in the flesh. Any way to confirm one way or another?
