The more I communicate with SaabFans, the more I realize that these people are the most friendly and communicative people on the planet! Two months ago SaabClub of Finland hosted the International SaabClub meeting, two weeks ago Saabsunited Octoberfest was held – a tough schedule, but members os SaabClub of Finland decided to gather one more time!
Here is a story and pictures from Petteri and Tommi from SaabClub of Finland
“This swap meet is a regular event in Saab Club of Finland since 2004.
It was organized first as a one-off event by our club chairman Juha Lehtonen, but everyone had such a good time that people wanted a rerun the year after, and since then it has become a tradition.
It’s always in October or November and located in Nokia. The first years it took place on the street where Juha lives, but it tended to get a bit too crowded there so later it was moved to a small nearby sports field and this year, the swap meet was situated on a parking lot
of a newly opened grocery store.
Juha is still the main man behind the meet, although he gets help from some volunteer club members. This time it was nice
and dry weather, as opposed to some other years when it has snowed during the meet. There were ca 20 sellers, including the SCoF club shop, that offered a nice variety of parts ranging from two stroke stuff to GM era parts. It’s difficult to estimate the number of visitors, but I’d say around 100. The Saabs occupied a good percentage of the parking lot, but there was still enough room for the “normal” folks who rather shop food than used Saab parts. 🙂”
And now he is the happy owner of a new 9-3 TTiD Griffin in Oak Brown which he got from dealer’s stock!
