Peter Dörrich, who has among other things been resposible for the development of the 9-4x and the 9-5 SC, is, according to Unionen’s manager-paper “Position”, the most popular manager 2011. Unionen published that in a press release today:
Peter Dörrich is the most popular manager in 2011. Which is why he will be rewarded the “Position” newspaper prize.
Peter Dörrich is 51 years and has held various positions within Saab, including the U.S.. He is now director of the Project Center at Saab Automobile in Trollhättan.
The award will be presented on Wednesday at the “Skills Fair” by the “Position”‘s magazine editor Dag Bremberg.
In addition to the prestige of the prize, Peter Dörrich will receive SEK 20 000. The idea is that the money will be used to develop their own leadership. The jury said:
Peter Dörrich is a well worthy receipient of Position’s Management prize 2011.
500,000 members of the Union have had the chance to nominate the most popular boss and of all the nominees, the magazine’s jury concluded that he is the best.
He is hailed by both management colleagues and employees as well as Union representatives with words like “safe, encouraging, empathetic, purposeful, informative.”
He cares about all the individuals in their group, supporting and pushing, take the time to listen and guide towards good solutions. In the turbulent situation that Saab has long been in, Peter Dörrich has proven to be a safe and informative leader who has always been accessible and shown compassion.
Congratulations Peter, from what I have experienced when we met the prize is well deserved.
Great to see good work awarded !
Good publicity for Saab too! 😀
congrats
Congratulations, Mr Dörrich!
Hopefully “your” 9-4x will be built soon again and in large numbers!
He did quite good work on the 9-4x under the circumstances. Free from the shackles of GM, I’m sure he’ll do great work and much more creative too!
CONGRATULATIONS PETER! 🙂
And thanks for your talk and answering questions at the SU-October-arrangement!
Congratulations to Peter. It is persons like Peter who will make Saab great in the future if they get past the current hurdles they face. I hope all of the great employees stay loyal to Saab through these tough times.
Listened to Peter at the October Fest, when he talked about the development of the 9-4x.
Thanked him for a good presentation and I would like to say that I understand that he is rewarded.
My first impression was: Nice, competent guy to be working together with.
Glad for his and SAAB’s sake.
