Spanish Dealer Tour – Girona

As we mentioned before the Spanish dealer tour is underway at the moment. Today we got some pics from the first day at Scandiauto in Girona (thanks Irene!). We were told that about 30 very interested customers attended the event. Two local newspapers showed up, took picures of the cars and made an interview to Manuel Alcázar, the country director of Saab Spain. Both are planning a special reportage about Saab and those two cars.

There may be some who say that 30 people is not much and under normal circumstances I might agree. But what I learned from talks with the Saab Germany guys is that almost all of the people who showed up at those events were highly interested in the cars. Even on events like in Munich, at noon, with no special invitations some 30 people showed up and wanted to experience the product. At least here in Germany we’d expect that interest to lead to real sales as soon as a production start is in sight.

Another aspect that seems to be common is that the dealers are very motivated. Just like us, they long for better times and they really want to do their share to a succesful future for Saab. I truly hope they can get the products into their showrooms soon.

Those dealer tours are some kind of guerilla marketing and from what I’ve heared they work out pretty well despite the uncertainty that has overshadowed the recent months. Hats off to the local teams who went on those tours to keep up the Saab spirit.

Here are some more pics from the events and the schedule again:

  1. These cars really look beautiful here. It’s outstanding to hear that there are so many interested buyers at each location, despite the problems. The Saab teams who are managing this tour really deserve special thanks.

Here’s hoping that Victor gets to spend some time showing off the cars first hand by December 14 in Mallorca! I’m sure his neighbors will be interested in them.

      • There is no wrong place for such a good event as this Dealer Tour, Lars G, not in Spain and not anywhere else in the world.
The strength of this Tour is that people see new and attractive Saab cars and do the message is given that Saab is still around.

      • I perhaps expressed myself unclear. What I mean is that I am located where earlier dealers for Saab have submitted the ship. I would desire that these each equal committed as they that now participates in the tour.

  2. These 95 SC’s look really impressive. And the back end design marks a change to what we’ve seen so far in SC both 93 and 95.

  3. I can only wish that this shot, the dealer itself and the presentation let alone all the stock as displayed was the norm not just in Spain but all around the world. Delivery of product and stock continues to play havoc and hope we can see all products really soon including in Australia. The situation in Sydney is precarious if not none existing.
