The news spread now in the Swedish newswires: the newly appointed administrator Lars-Henrik Andersson called the district court in Vänersborg this morning and said that he is not available for the post. He gave no reason for his decision and we should refrain from reading too much in it.
Obviously Saab has to nominate a new administrator quickly (ttela.se):
To TT Nilsson explains that Saab has until 16 o’clock on how to nominate a new person.
– We will find a new person, we are working on this together with Guy Lofalk now, says Saab’s communications director Eric Geers.
We’ll update you as soon as we get more information.
No one wants to be forced to pull the plug, if something goes wrong one more time.
But Andersson would have known that before being appointed.
Conflict of interest via a current client maybe?
He may have looked at the solution and realized that this will not work? Or he is disqualified. or personal reasons?
A very strange event indeed. Even birds on trees in Sweden know that SAAB have no money. They also know that the salaries must be payed and SAAB’s account filled with fresh money for reconstruction costs if SAAB are to get “GO” from the court to continue the reconstruction.
So basically no loss for Andersson: either he would have got SAAB filled with money to work with, or a “NO” from the judge. That’s why this is so strange to me.
I’ll do it!!!
I agree, a very odd situation indeed. Could this indicate that ANY administrator is not keen to take on the job?

Can you spell t-h-r-e-a-t-s? Okay, I’m being facicious—-or am I?
There could be 101 reasons why Andersson can’t take the brief but it does look a little suss.
Let’s hope there is no more to it than a conflict of interests or workload commitments.
This must be the end .
How many times have you written that in the last two years? A few dozen?
I don’t like all this.
And I don’t like that it – again – reminds all the naysayers in Sweden about the book about Victor called “Cirkus Muller”. That word “circus” has them all hopping in scornful delight.
But it sure is a good thriller. (Or bad, depending on the outcome)
