SAAB has changed the slogan

This is a short one.

Many of you do still discuss if Move your mind is a good slogan for Saab or not, other have noticed, that it is really difficult to find it on any Saab site or on any current electronic price-list or catalogue, there are still some older price list for MY11 cars were you can see the slogan.

As I also was curious about that, and to avoid fruitless discussions, I’ve asked at Saab what is the current situation of the slogan. The answer was short and precise.

Move your mind is no longer the slogan for Saab, currently Saab has no slogan at all, and a newer slogan will be rolled out when they can start a proper ad campaign for that.

Till then Saab doesn’t move your mind or isn’t born from jets or anything else. It would be interesting to hear what YOU think that a good slogan for SAAB could be.

One of my favorites and the one that is on the front bumper of my 9-3 SC is “Find Your Own Road” I think this exemplifies what Victor has been doing these many months (plan A, plan B, etc…). I am believing that the road(s) he has taken will be successful.

SAAB needs to cherish its heritage of an innovative, different car. I do not think anyone buys a SAAB out of conventionalism. You do it out of passion and that has to become visible in a slogan. I suggest “Challenge conventions – Drive SAAB” or something similar expressing that life is too short to be boring and drive something that does not stand out.

I still vote for Born From Jets – its high tech, exciting, memorable – hey my wife remembers the ads and she isnt even into any brand of cars that much…I saw the joke”Born from Debts” that was a funny. Seriously though if were the voice for SAAB – bought a 2011 9-5 hopefully SWAN or however runs the new company will take a vote…

Oh no please, pretty please, not that one. I swear I will not buy a Saab ever again if they reintroduce that infantile slogan!

Are you Saab?

Make people think, use SAAB’s ability to question the standards, to inspire a passion in its drivers :

“To find out if you’re a SAAB person, you’ll need to get behind the wheel and open your mind.
After that, should you need further convincing why not ask the people who already drive them; we like to think of them as our global sales team.”

Are you Saab?

I remembered to come back to see what people said. During the Curvin O’Reilly’s talk at the US 2010 Saab Owners Convention, he used the tag line, “Intelligent Cars for Intelligent People” in his ad lobs. Here’s the past Slogan list from today’s look at Wikipedia for Saab Automobile, with citation number included… Built by Trolls in Trollhättan (Decal – 1960s/70s Works 96 Rally Cars – side windows)[81] Go Swift – Go Safe – Go Saab (Advertisement Page – 1970s FIA Year Book)[82] The most intelligent cars ever built. (1980s)[83] Find your own road. (1990s)[84] Welcome to the State of… Read more »

In our country they call SAABs as “low-flying jets”. In russian it sounds respectfully.
