I just received this press release from SPNA that they wanted SU fans to have first. We will be doing a follow up with Tim Colbeck on their one year anniversary so if you have questions, please send them in.
Saab Automobile Parts North America (SPNA), marks first anniversary with enhanced warranty, expanded Service Center network and best-ever availability.
• SPNA offers industry leading 24 month / 24,000 limited warranty on replacement parts and labor for repairs using Saab OE Parts at Saab Official Service Center locations.
• SPNA continues to expand its Official Service Center (OSC) network, creating an infrastructure to ensure Saab Owners have access to Saab Genuine Parts, Accessories and Service for many years to come.
• As SPNA celebrates one year anniversary, Saab parts availability is at historic high levels.
Saab Automobile Parts North America recently celebrated its one year anniversary by announcing the addition of limited warranty coverage on labor costs, for a term of 24 months/ 24,000 miles. This added coverage complements the existing 24 month/ 24,000 mile coverage that is standard on all OE Saab Genuine Parts and Accessories the company sells.
“Our industry leading limited warranty coverage on parts and labor is an important addition to the products and services offered to Saab owners and only available through the Saab Service Network,” said Tim Colbeck, President and CEO of SPNA. “With 24 months and 24,000 miles of coverage on genuine replacement parts and service labor, there is a compelling reason to use Saab OE Parts and Service versus aftermarket imitations. No aftermarket parts or service supplier has Saab OE parts quality nor stands behind Saab parts like we do.”
The company continues to expand its service network, adding official Service Centers across the country. The company recently added Kelley Sales & Service in Springfield, VT and Hubbard Wood’s Motors in Winnetka, IL. Another recent addition is Tom’s Truck Center in Garden Grove, CA. Tom’s will be a west coast parts distribution partner, to improve availability of Saab parts in the important California market. Availability of Saab parts is back to historic high levels, and the warehouse facilities are stocked; ensuring OE Saab Genuine Parts and Accessories are available to Saab owners and the service network quickly and efficiently.
If you’re in need of Saab Genuine Parts and Accessories, many of the Saab Official Service Centers in the network operate and offer a web based inventory and ordering solution for Saab owners, with the capability of drop shipping direct to the consumer.
To locate the Saab Official Service Center nearest you, visit saabparts.com. The locator tool provides a geographic search function with details for each service center location.
“The company has built an infrastructure for the future. It’s great that we have been able to announce this new program and launch several others, like Saab Secure, that provide added support to Saab owners and the Saab service network. We want to keep Saab cars and owners on the road well into the future” Colbeck concluded.

Considering everything that happened to SAAB, I consider us lucky to have a decent parts network available in NA. Hell, I even bought a second SAAB since the bankruptcy.
Me too , I bought another one as well, but SPNA can support it as its a classic…..
Me too. 93 900 vert 🙂
Obviously I agree and coming from the SAAB dealer network side I have to add that for me, it is very refreshing to be able to fire off an email or pick up the phone and be able to communicate directly with SPNA. They do listen and I for one have been very happy with the level of support received.
Jason, do you have any opinion as to the status of the parts risk as far as the NG 9-5 is concerned? Many potential owners would want to be comfortable that new parts will be available for at least 10 years. I know there is a specific optioned windshield issue, but the available windshield would work for me. It is more a case of being comfortable that a complete inventory of parts to keep the cars drivable will be available for several years.
From what I’ve been told, I am not worried about parts. I have been told that the windshield issue will be solved and as far as body panels and other parts, I am not worried about that going forward and it would not make me question buying one. I know also that one 9-5 owner was getting his windshield replaced today with everything but HUD so it is only HUD right now that is the windshield issue as his replacement had lane departure and and rain sensor. I will forward your question as a question for Tim Colbeck to answer… Read more »
Thanks Jason
no problem, glad to help
So, are parts from SaabUSAParts.com the same? For the last 2 years I have been ordering my own parts if I know the right part and then taking it in to my service center. The 23 inch windshield wiper blades from my service center took 2 weeks to get them in for my 2008 9-3.
They are their own company (not SPNA) but yes, they are a certified service center so this all applies to them as well. They do carry some non OEM stuff as well but they are clearly marked as such. On a side note, in trying to find the answer for you I clicked the link to their website (on the right of this page) and talk directly to them through chat and in two minutes I had the answer. Seems like fast and great service.
the only thing that would not apply is the labour part because if you take the part to a non SAAB approved service center, the labour would not be covered.
When a car company is flying high, selling cars by the hundreds of thousands, with positive and seemingly endless cash flow—-it’s easy to be “good.” But when there’s a situation like this one—-a bankrupt company, out of business…an uncertain future…dealer network crumbling—-that’s when everyday “challenges” turn into a near impossible crisis. It’s in that context that I am floored by the job Tim Colbeck and staff have done in holding this together. The easiest thing would have been to walk away from it all and get into a different venture. I met Tim Colbeck—-and based on that very brief handshake—-along… Read more »
Completely agree. The availability of parts for my used Saabs has calmed the debate on the value of those cars. I can drive with confidence in knowing if something breaks, that there will be parts to fix my girls up with. A big thanks to Tim Colbeck for making this a reality for all us Saab owners! We owe a great debt to you!
That’s great they added Hubbard Wood’s Motors in the northern suburbs of Chicago. I’ve been using them for over a year now and a nice shop. They hired a master tech from the local Saab dealer and he’s really good.
I look forward to getting even better service from them now with them having access to oem parts.
