I was contacted by a London based journalist today who asked questions on my collaboration with Vladimir Antonov. As some of You might remember he was part of the SaabsUnited Historic Rally Team (later formed to S2AB Historic Rally Team). The reporter told me some interesting news both on Antonovs upcomimng court cases but also what is happening with the cars. By the way I sold Vladimir a 9000 AERO -96 Dark blue with grey captains chair interior, wonder if that one is up for auction as well
Now in the bankruptcy process of Snoras Bank I read this on the web. The cars are in Vilnius Lithuania.
|Two Spyker C8 sports cars set for auction|
|On 9 May 2013 the Creditors Committee of BAB Bankas Snoras (bankrupt) approved a resolution proposed by Neil Cooper, Bankruptcy Administrator for the sale of two Spyker C8 sports cars. The Bankruptcy Administrator, his team and Troostwijk Auctions (a highly respected auction house based in Holland), have been working together to prepare these cars for sale. The sales process has now commenced and full details of the cars can be found on the Troostwijk Auctions website (https://www.troostwijkauctions.com/uk/spyker-luxury-cars/01-17921/).Commenting on the sale of the Spyker sports cars, Neil Cooper, Bankruptcy Administrator said:|
“Since obtaining the Creditors’ Committee approval to sell the cars, we have been working hard, together with Troostwijk Auctions, to prepare them for sale. We are pleased to confirm that the cars are now being actively marketed by a well-established and reputable auction house who will seek to realise as much value as possible for the benefit of creditors.”
So if You want a piece of “Saab” history go get one! Tip for the prospective buyer make sure to get the wristwatch that came with each of the 14 cars.
“Each car will feature a personalised LM85 serial plaque. On request, Chronoswiss dials and switches can be installed and are virtually identical to the Chronoswiss 24Hours Pilot Watch every LM85 owner receives with his car.”
