I just came across this item from an old UK Top Gear TV programme which I thought might interest all the Classic 900 fanatics out there such as myself. I fully endorse what Quentin Wilson says in this report which shows what a class act the 900 really was in its day and still is! My rare 2dr T16s still gets admiring glances everywhere I go in it, and it is not unusual for someone on a petrol forecourt to pass a complimentary comment. Hope you enjoy.

Can’t help wondering who among us hasn’t already typed in ‘Saab Top Gear’, in Youtube’s search bar? First thought, before clicking on the link here was ‘Hmmm…wonder if this is the segment that starts out with that balding Englishman in the aircraft hangar?’. And sure enough, it was.:)
We Saab fanatics do love our Saab porn!:D And this really is a must see gem of a segment, if ya haven’t seen it. Makes me miss my ‘ol ’87 900 turbo something fierce.
Love it!!!!!
Nostalgia indeed. It was 7 years ago this Saturday that I drove my gray SPG over the million mile mark at Lake George, just 50 miles up the road from last week’s convention in Albany. There were so many new faces at this year’s convention, young people who had not heard the story which means we have a new following even though we don’t have Saabs in production.

Wonderful video, I’ve seen it several times before. You’ve got to love Quentin Wilson’s accent as well! 😉
A T16S was THE yuppie car in the 1980s whilst BMW was still trying to figure out how to keep a 3 series from fishtailing itself into the nearest hedgerow. Quentin was right Saab was cool. What happened? 🙁
