The Saab experience reaches new levels in a Hirsch-upgraded Saab 9-3 Aero 2014. Improved aerodynamics with rear-mounted spoiler and diffuser, 275 HP and a torque of 420 Nm that provides a powerful force and a big smile on her face.
Hirsch Performance AG has long offered proud Saab owners an extra spice to their cars in terms of both appearance and performance. Through a new co-operation between Farid and Hirsch offers an upgraded Saab 9-3 Aero 2014, that we decided to call 9-3 Aero Hirsch Edition.
The upgrade includes an increased engine power from 220 to 275 horsepower and an increase in torque from 350 Nm to 420 Nm. The car is also equipped with rear-mounted spoiler and diffuser for better aerodynamics, as well as leather-covered interior handles.
-“Many customers choose Saab for that they value driving pleasure and Hirsch upgrade adds to the joy of something really special. It takes Saab experience to new levels, “said Jonas Hernqvist NEVS Sales & Marketing Manager”
The Saab 9-3 Aero Hirsch Edition will be presented Thursday 29/5 in Örebro during an event organized by MapTun, that’s also a company with a proud history of Saab. Representatives from both NEVS and Hirsch will be present at the event in Örebro to show and tell me about the car.
The upgrade is offered as an option via Nevs website, www.saabcars.com, when you order a Saab 9-3 Aero 2014.

Now we’re talking!
So this was the new model it was rumoured about yesterday. Impressive figures.
fine
Brilliant! This is what we should have been offered years ago! A DI 4-pot with some serious pull. Put this in a vert and I just might not wait for the electric version…
A light in the darkness, I hope NEVS can get through the current situation…
THIS is what should have been offered after the Turbo X was no longer !
+1
OK, now this is a more interesting car. Why should people buy an “old” car when they could by a new Mondeo, for example, with also a 2.0 putting 240bph?
I say: make them faster, safer and refined at a minimum and you’ll have a Saab.
buy, obviously
Great news, thanks Hirsch and NEVS! However, the article seems to contain some typo’s. The co-op is between Hirsch and NEVS and not Farid, whoever that is. Also, the representatives from NEVS&Hirsch at Maptun Meet will share the news to everyone at the event not just “me” 😉 Anyways, impressive work made by Hirsch. To reach that power output just by tuning software and keeping the emission levels. Nice! Should be an excellent drive.
The article must have been written in Swedish and shoved through google translate. The word ‘Nevs’ comes out as farid when you do that.
No it’s not! Google Translate do nothing with “Nevs” when translating to english. Nevs = Nevs.
Wheel gap looks lower – the package must also include lowering springs?
Wheel gap looks the same as in the official 9-3N Aero.
But that car was already lowered.
Interesting power upgrade: I was expecting 260 bhp just the amount I have in my Hirsch 9-5 NG. Since the 4 banger 220 bhp engines in the 9-3 and 9-5 NG are the same I would like to get that extra boost in my 9-5 NG.
Interesting new experience för MapTun now when they are an approved Saab Service Company. Can they still promote their inhouse software when Saab cars are selling Hirsch. Hirsch is certified and approved and legal conforming to regulations and standards. Great to see that Saab Cars have teamed up with Hirsch.
Good news! Lets hope they get over the short term issue regarding funding. Go Nevs! 🙂
well….is THIS the big news? if so, i go back into hibernation 😉
Most likely no. Tomorrow we know if there’s something now, or if they hold back until the financial situation is resolved or something like that. Because, as far as I know, a Euro 5 certified engine is only allowed another 3 months.
And for this you add another 23900:- sek ? (~3600 USD / ~2640 euro) to the retail price ?
Wow.. Yeah, really “big” news.
Not bad price if You get this:
– a CERTIFIED 275 bhp engine
– stainless steel helmholtz resonator exhaust system
– interior leather accents
– rear diffuser
For the 9-5 NG Hirsch offered a package deal on new engine management and stainless exhaust etc for about the same amount the present offer is.
What we will see tomorrow is if this car has the stainless exhaust!
It’s their retail prices..

I’m confused. Last week they stopped production and laid off production workers. And this week they announce an upgraded model, which, given what happened last week, they now cannot produce? Must be missing something.
No, you got it right.
It sounds strange (and it is a peculiar way to operate) but it’s possible since they have unmoved inventory (unsold cars). Slap some “new” parts on them and “Tada, Hirsch Edition”
They learned a lot from GM and Ford, then 😉
No one has said they are delivering those any time soon. People can buy them now and deliveries can start sometime in the future when (if) production resumes.
I think the Grateful Dead would say: “Wow man, hey NEVS, it’s a long, strange trip you’re taking us on man. Very strange, very long, long and strange.”
It all depends on whether NEVS goes on Truckin or the whole thing becomes a Brokedown Palace
Avelik: Any chance that this will be an acquisition by a capable new owner and not some sort of investment partnership? I get the feeling funding is only one of the things holding Saab back at this point.
Sorry, it’s not 20+ HP, it’s 55 but still.. I doubt that it makes or break during the circumstances..
B207 vs a20-nft, that’s what’s makes the difference I believe.
