SOTW, a bit of Bordeaux in The Netherlands

This weeks sotw week is from Peter in the Netherlands, I’m loving the red top on his black 900, very striking.

Dear Robin,

Hereby I like to attend the popular talent show SOTW with my “little red riding hood” (in dutch: roodkapje).

I bought the Saab 900 2.5 V6 1996 two years ago, totally original. I like to finetune my Saabs with delicate changes, as I also did with this one. For example, I changed the hood for a bordeaux red coloured one, changed the end of the exhaust and bought some timeless Saab rims. I am very satisfied with the total result!

I really hope to see it back on your great website. Keep up the good work!

Best regards,
Peter Machiel

As always I have placed larger and more pictures on my Flickr page

  1. You got good taste, sir…
The only thing I’d do extra, would be to change the small orange side indicators to clear lens versions (combines better with the bordeaux red).

  2. Great taste indeed! I saw one like this at my local Saab shop—-white with caramel color top—-that one was very nice too, but yours is awsome.

    • I agree Angelo, I once saw my first white one with Beige hood coming off the production line at the factory and instantly fell in love with it, a stunning combination.

  3. What a great looking car, particularly stands out with the Bordeaux roof…stunning…and those classic Saab alloys are a perfect match. Wishing you continued happiness in your beautiful 9-3, and yep, totally agree, still looks fresh, something I reckon about many Saabs…for me, they just stand out that bit from the crowd.
