nice silhouette, but the front and the back are not my piece of cake.
Hi Red J, I tend to agree with your comment but am nevertheless impressed by the fine work they did to design and make this unique car.
Is it not very similar to a NG900 / 9-3
I think it looks really cool! Go Finland!
Wonder where this beauty is hiding today? Hope it has not been scrapped. Would be great if Valmet could share some specs on the car – dimensions, weight, drive train, etc.
From what I’ve found in the net the prototype is exposed at the Car-Museum from Valmet in Uusikaupinki, Finland. There are some pictures of the car on Flickr from a user called Saabrobz.
But according to the Video and what I’ve read, the car was only a show car for their 5 bow convertible system. Not really a car with specs.
Last night I was browsing Wikipedia and saw a picture of this an the other manufactures who shared the development of the 9000 . I wonder how much time in man hours this project took. I think the 9000 was one of the finest SAAB cars EVER.
Its great to see these videos. Nice legacy of a great but former brand.
Sadly it didn’t get made. I kind of liked the NG900 hardtop coupe that Valmet Automotive built as a concept. Sadly that didn’t get made either.
