I just re-found that video from the Arctic Adventure 2011. Nice to watch and brings a bit of the winter that we in Europe did not get yet this year.
As the year comes nearer to its end I have to admit that 2015 has been one of the more difficult ones in terms of finding things to report due to long periods of silence from Trollhättan. With recent news it seems that more life will return to Stallbacka so there should me more things to talk about. Additionally we will take a look over the fence from time to time and look what other brands are doing, still through the eyes of a Saab fan of course. I hope we can find the right mix to entertain you properly.
But for now and on behalf of all crew members of SaabsUnited I’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and to thank you for your ongoing support. We hope you all can take some time off from the daily routine, recharge your batteries and spend some time among your beloved ones.
A while ago we had a set of 19″ 3-spoke Hirsch rims for sale. Not only that this set went quickly, we also realized that a lot of people added themselves to the waitlist. This made us look into the possibilities to make a new batch of those rims while still keeping the price in the region where it always was: Euro 1660 ex VAT (Euro 1975.40 incl 19% VAT).
We are very happy to announce that this project could become reality if we collect enough orders – and given the number that has already joined the waitlist we are rather optimistic.
Here is how it will work:
If you are interested in purchasing a set please add yourself to the waitlist on the product page.
In the week after Christmas you will get an email asking if you are still interested so we can see if the required number of orders is met. If this is the case we will collect a 50% downpayment.
When the rims are ready for delivery we will charge the other remaining 50% plus shipping cost.
To give you an idea of the shipping cost for one set here are some numbers: EU Euro 45, North America Euro 125, Singapore Euro 145
Please keep in mind that we won’t produce too much more than we have orders for so if you want them join in.
A while back I wrote a few words about what quickly became one of my favorite books. This week, the movie based on the book premieres in Swedish movie theatres. Judging by the trailer, it is the perfect movie for the holidays.
The story begins with Ove who, quite rationally, decides to off himself. As the story unfolds, the reasons behind his decision becomes clear. Along the way we are also treated to the story of his next–door neighbour, Rune, who drives a Volvo… (why the Volvo–driving character is named “Rune” is a worrisome question, but as this is a work of fiction don’t let that stop you)
Some hastily translated dialogue from one of the trailers:
– Stop! Stop I said!
According to Ttela paper 49 year old Maria Oinas from Västerås owner of a 2003 9-3 Sport sedan and a Suzuki GSX motorcycle has been hired at NEVS. Hope NEVS is prepare to celebrate her 50th birthday on the 6th of January just 5 days after starting her new job in Trollhättan, what a start of a new career. Maria will replace Kjell AC Bertram who enter a new life as senior citizen with retirement.
Maria welcome to the SAAB car world and great to see a more gender mixed group of VP´s at NEVS.

The amount of articles in the Swedish Press originating on the presentation of Mathias Bergman at the Store Bildagen conference hosted by Dagens Industri in Stockholm show that it is still a big interest in Sweden on this further chapter of the car industry in Trollhättan.
