Happy Holidays all Saab enthusiasts!

On behalf of SaabsUnited and Svenska Saabklubben, the Swedish Saab Club, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for 2016, we are looking forward to 2017 with you all.

As you may have noticed, SaabsUnited has not been much active lately. This is in part due to lack of Saab news, but mainly due to lack of resources (contributors and editors).

After Saabklubben took over SaabsUnited, I have had to do a lot of maintenance on this site. As an example, more than 4 000 spam users have been (manually) checked and removed. All in order to keep SaabsUnited working in the future.

Saabklubben wants SaabsUnited to continue being a relevant and accurate news/enthusiast site for Saab owners in 2017 (and onwards). But this will require your help. Every user at SaabsUnited is a contributor (as noted here: Contribute to SaabsUnited). So please do contribute to SaabsUnited!

Now, personally, I’m looking forward to spending Christmas with my mother-in-law in Gothenburg, since it means that we get to visit the Saab car museum in Trollhättan on our way back home. 😉

  1. Thanks for keeping the site going in difficult times Jonathan. Let’s hope for more (any?) news from NEVS in 2017. Recently saw the movie “A Man called Ove” which featured cameo appearances by some wonderful old Saabs – if I remember correctly a 92, 93, 95 Estate, 99, 900 and 9000CS – all in amazing condition, so I assume they must have come from the Museum. Also enjoyed the digs at Volvo and Audi drivers (“4 zeros on the bonnet and another behind the wheel”).

Merry Christmas to you and to Saabers everywhere!

    • Thank you, that’s much appreciated! 🙂 I’m pretty sure we’ll hear a lot more from NEVS in 2017.

A man called Ove is a great movie, but an even better book. It may actually not be a bad idea to write about this here at SU. Thanks!

    • Agreed, thanks Jonathan. Merry Christmas & Prosperous 2017 to all.
(Must remember that Audi gag for a guy @ work – nice guy but he likes winding folk up!)

  2. Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and Happy Holidays to all. Looking forward to great car discussions in 2017 here on SU. Thanks Jonathan for your hard work in keeping this thing going.

    • Same to you, Angelo, my old friend, and all of the SAAB’ers out there!
      Anyone still have “fingers-crossed” for 2017? :>)

  3. Thanks for your efforts. Sounds like it’s the visit to the Saab car museum that you are most looking forward to, 🙂
Happy holidays to you and all!
