Saab in Autoworld Brussels III

Saab Club Belgium is 30 years in 2017 and this is celebrated with a first event in Autoworld Brussels where  a special exhibition “Saab in the spotlight” is organized by the museum with the support of the Saab Club Belgium.

We had a fine new-year’s reception in the museum on January 15th where more than 150 members of our club were present.

Now visitors of the museum can also see this special collection of Saab cars which are shown in three different places in the museum. From the Saab 92 till the last manufactured 9-5 NG, visitors do get an idea what Saab has realized as an automaker.

We tried to give an overview as complete as possible by showing the real cars and we made the overview 100% complete by showing all makes in small version as well.

We will organize other special events as well this year but the start of our anniversary with this exhibition is a great start which, we hope, will be appreciated by the visitors of the museum.

We have at least had a very good and fine start and look forward to a year full of events in Belgium but also across borders.

We especially do think of the Saab festival in Trollhattan and the International Saab meeting in Dinslaken (Germany).

Saab is not manufacturing new cars anymore but we do look after the heritage and enjoy driving these iconic cars for much more years to come.

Saab in Autoworld Brussels I

I like already to inform you all that the Saab Club Belgium has his 30st anniversary in 2017 and Saab should have been 70 years that same year. This we will make known to the public by showing all Saab models available in our club in the museum Autoworld in Brussels from January 13th- February 5th, 2017.
So this special event will focus on what Saab has built over the years and the Saab cars will be shown among all other beautiful cars from the museum.
We will organize the new year reception of the Saab Club Belgium on Sunday, January 15th and I will put pictures of some of the cars we show here on SaabsUnited after that reception.
But note the dates and come and look for this special Expo in Autoworld Brussels.

Saab Club Belgium organized a tour of the Cribs

Kerststallentocht_3 Kerststallentocht_1 Kerstallentocht_2December 27th, in the North of Belgium 22 Saab cars gathered for a tour of the cribs. A tour in which we passed 13 cribs. So far the winter here was mild, in fact far too mild. But on this day the first snow did hit the ground in Northern Belgium (Antwerp province). In a beautiful white landscape all the 22 teams (two Saabs from The Netherlands came down for this event) drove this 60 KM tour and could visit each and every crib along the way. We started with coffee and at the arrival there was warm soup for everyone. This was a gorgeous way to start the Christmas holiday and the Saabs did do so well in the snow.

Technical day organised by Saab Club Belgium

DSCN1738_Daniel CarLast Sunday, September 7th, we organized a day for all Saab fans to come and see the collection of curiosa and spare parts in Liege.

The day was held in the Garage Daniel Car, a garage with at least 60 Saab 900 and 9000 and the respective spares and parts for these models. Daniel had displaced a lot of these cars to give room to have visitors also see the tables from other Saab club members who wanted to show and sell their Saab inventories. Food and drinks got served as well. A gorgeous day for all who came and visited this event. If you have missed this and am looking for parts and spares for 900 and 9000 Saabs, just contact Daniel at [email protected] while he has nearly everything available a Saab enthusiast can dream about.
