Saab Swedish sales data January April 2014

It is a long time since the last post in the category ssd (Saab Sales Data), but at last I’m once again able to report about new registered Saab cars.

You may say, that I could have started in January, as NEVS already appeared in the statistics back then with 5 cars, but those where registered for a company, and you will be right if you assume that that com pay was NEVS.

So the Numbers for the first moths are as follow

  • January 5
  • February 15
  • March 6
  • April 47
  • Total 73

Six of those 73 cars have been registered to a private persons. So I would say that NEVS has delivered 6 cars in April. Among the other 67 cars 50 of them have been delivered to Saab dealers as test cars, and as Tim told after his visit to his local dealer in Växjö, the interest in those cars is big. I would say that the remaining 17 cars are either company cars for the NEVS management (imagine them driving Audi or Volvo) or test cars as you where able to test drive the 9-3N from february in Trollhättan.

The figures aren’t impressive, but as long s they keep increasing over time, they can be seen as a first step in a long journey.

US Sales November 2011

I waited to put this up until the end of the day (US time) so that everyone could have some time off of the waiting game. Hopefully you spent it well. In the meantime, we continue to wait patiently on one party in particular, and hope that all issues that need clarification can be ironed out as soon as possible. Until that point, there really isn’t much to speculate on.

Somehow, when you consider all that Saab has been through, it’s incredible that there are enough loyal customers who are willing to buy a car from a company that from all indications from the mainstream press is a walking corpse. Maybe these customers know something the reporters don’t.

Sunday Snippets

I think it has ben a long time since the last snippets post from Saabsunited, but the reasons, at least from my side have been many and different.

It is a long time since I’ve posted about the Saab Sales Data. First of all, Saabsunited will reopen the SSD section of the site, but it is not the top priority now, and we all know why. Despite this I keep collecting the data and finding more reliable sources for the registration numbers.

Saab sales data September 2011

On August first I wrote a post about Saab sales during the last five month of the year, I called that post, August: point of inflexion in sales?. The question mark was put on purpose, as I was hopping for the best but was prepared for the worst.

All my assumptions for the September have been right, The US and the UK have done better in September than in August and Sweden seems to have stabilized at a very low level, although they have done better than in August.

September 2011 SCNA Sales

Sales are down up month to month in the US, from 363 to 429, and the numbers look good for the 9-5. It’s overtaken the 9-3 in total sales for the first time in the US, but they still have a ton of stock left on 2011 models. I don’t foresee a problem with US/Canadian Saab dealers running out of stock before production comes back online. Another huge credit to dealers like Kurt Schirm at International Saab, AJ Murphy at Just Saab, and Jason Powell at Springman’s Saab for keeping the momentum despite the bad news. If you’re a dealer and you’re interested in a profile on our site like the one Jason did for Springman’s, shoot us an email and let us know, we’d love to help drive customers into dealers.

Saab US Sales August 2011

How Saab continues to sell this many cars under these circumstances is beyond me. Well done,  US dealers. Sales are up over 25% over August 2010. Perhaps RedJ’s prediction was low? I certainly hope so.

Notice that 9-4X sales are picking up well, but I expect with the right promotion this to be Saab’s #1 seller in the US.
