The Saab stand was quite a lively place tonight. I was very impressed with the amount of people flocking Saab. I am biased but I would say it was the most impressive display at the show.
And yes, we have a few photos as well of the black Saab 9-4x.
The 9-4x looks great and it’s fantastic to see Saab bring their beautiful Saab stand to the New England show.

The New England Auto Show is on right now (Dec 1-5) and the Saab 9-4x is there, in black!
Luxvelocity was there and had a lot of kind things to say about the 9-4x and the Saab stand in general.
When Colleran was done speaking, the sheet was pulled off to reveal the all new SAAB Aero X concept inspired SAAB 9-4X. My initial thoughts when seeing the car in person was that this new SAAB is incredible sleek, sporty, and aerodynamic looking. It is a SAAB 9-5 in a mide scale luxury SUV package.
OK, the Aero-X and 9-4x bit is back to front, but you get the message….
The SAAB display in itself was the star of the New England Motor Show and did not differ too much from the LA display. Walking into the display made you feel like you were walking into a world of SAAB and the display had so much personality.
The Saab stand is indeed a beautiful thing.
I hope some of you get along to the New England show and see the Saab 9-4x for yourselves. As always, it’s much better in the metal.

Here’s a look around the Saab stand from the LA Auto Show. Neither the lighting, nor my camera technique are good enough to show how it really looks, but you’ll get the idea.
I’ve been here since eeeearly this morning, before most of the press corps rolled up, and early today there were a couple of guys from an exhibition company standing nearby and I could hear them talking about how well this was laid out, how cool it looked. They’re not wrong.
I wanted to take you for a look around and show off some of the cool features, a few of which I noticed in photos from Paris but hadn’t seen first hand.
They’ve actually had a real iceberg made for the show. It’s melting as we speak….
The “leafblower” from Paris is in the house once again, though it seems to have a deadspot where there’s little airflow and leaves are gathering there. Seeing where in the home of capitalism, I suggested they fill it with dollar bills, but that idea got caught in the deadspot 🙂
A new feature for LA is the massive paper airplane, which also doubles as a worktable. The pointy end can also be used to impale troublesome members of the media 🙂
All of these features are elements of the video showing on the big screen at the back, behind which is the garage for the 9-4x prior to it being revealed later today.

The cars showing on the Saab stand include a Saab 9-5 Aero, the Saab 9-3 ePower SportCombi and a Saab 9-3 Convertible. They’ll be joined later on by the Saab 9-4x.
Each of the cars on show has it’s own iPad with information about the car available for viewing.

I am off to Los Angeles next week to see the all-new Saab 9-4x at the LA Auto Show.
