D Shado & Juice – Saab Music

This video was produced more than two years ago, so I’m not sure how I could have missed it the first time around, but here it is, D Shado & Juice with Saab Music:

There are some old-school Saab references in this video. Although the music isn’t quite my cup of tea, I do appreciate the effort that went into producing this and the nice way they promoted the brand. The video definitively made me smile!

My vacation starts tomorrow, so sayonara everybody! Unless you find yourself in the black sea city of Batumi, in which case I might bump into you there. That actually happened btw: Two years ago I posted here about me and my wife driving to Georgia and soon after a Swedish person commented that he had spotted my car in Batumi. This year we will sadly not be on the road, but fly coach. Next year however, will be different I’m sure.

Sunday Snippets

I think it has ben a long time since the last snippets post from Saabsunited, but the reasons, at least from my side have been many and different.

It is a long time since I’ve posted about the Saab Sales Data. First of all, Saabsunited will reopen the SSD section of the site, but it is not the top priority now, and we all know why. Despite this I keep collecting the data and finding more reliable sources for the registration numbers.

Griffin Up on iTunes

I didn’t know this until just now, but the theme-for-a-Saab-sale is available on iTunes.
GriffinUpCover.jpgGriffin Up was written and recorded by a young Swede named David Blumberg and it quickly became the backing tune that accompanied Saab Support Convoys around the world.
Of course, the time of the convoys has passed but the song remains and personally, I think the song should get a major reprise mid-year if there ends up being a Saab Festival in Sweden. It represents a significant moment in Saab’s history and aside from all that…… it’s a darn good tune.
If you’ve got a spare buck+change in your pocket then I’d invite you to do as I just did and go get the official download on iTunes.
You’ll do your ears a favour and you’ll help out the guy who gave you the song that backed a movement.

Griffin Up! ticks over 100,000 views on Youtube

Another great milestone has happened recently.
In just a week, David Blumberg’s song for Saab, called Griffin Up! has notched up over 100,000 views on Youtube.
That’s a fantastic effort and some fantastic visibility for Saab. The song’s been a great booster in these recent troubled times.
I reckon that if Saab gets sold, there should be a big party in Trollhattan, with David front and center singing Griffin Up! for the crowd. I’ll book myself in now to play bass 🙂
