Dragon Saab ‘Spring Roll’ Rally/Tour (UK)

Dragon Saab are proud to announce our first event of 2014, The Dragon Saab ‘Spring Roll’

The Spring Roll will take place Sunday April 6th.

The ‘Spring Roll’ is a rally/tour of Cardiff  and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The event will start with those attending meeting at St Fagan’s Museum of Welsh life, an ideal stating point for everyone as it is easily accessible (just off A4232 Cardiff west junction off the M4) for all attending from either South Wales or the West Country.

We then proceed in convoy to Cardiff bay. We have gained special permission for the convoy to drive across the barrage which is normally closed to cars. It will be fantastic to see all the Saab’s on the barrage!

Once across the barrage we will have the use of a large car park at the Dr Who experience for a photoshoot. For those interested in Dr Who a 1hr tour will be available for those who would like to visit the attraction. For those who don’t wish to visit the exhibition, an alternative option will be available. More on this to follow, there’s lots to see and do at Cardiff Bay.

From Cardiff Bay, we’ll travel back over the barrage to commence our tour along the coast visiting Llantwit Major, Nash Point, Southerndown and Ogmore by the Sea. Leaving the coast we then travel through the Vale of Glamorgan stopping at a local point(s) of interest (to be confirmed) we will then finish at a pub for a late afternoon lunch.

These are the outline plans and will change over the coming weeks as we finalise event, so watch this space!

All are welcome at the event, whether a regular club member or a first timer you can be assured of a warm welcome and a great day out!

Volvo v Saab Road Trip in Belgium (updated)

As you know Nicolas and Ellen from Belgium organised a road trip with invites to all Swedish Cars. They had a great time and here are a few words from nicolas.

On saturday the 30th of October we had the joy to welcome 110 participants for the SAAB vs VOLVO Tour. Not less than 55 Swedish cars were present, going from an old twostroke 96 to the last new 9-5. We had participants coming from all over Belgium, but also from France and Holland, and some of them had already done more than 350 km before starting for the tour !
The less we can say is that this event exceeded our expectations, and a big thank you goes to all those who were there !
